Senator of Montana introduces the legislation that will allow legalized table blackjack games. Jonathan Windy Boy, Democratic State Senator, has already asked for a bill that would fully legalize the blackjack games in state of Montana. What is the reason for such legalization? The matter is that the profits made through the table blackjack games will be used in order to raise the budget deficits in the sphere human services in the state.
Senator was the initiator of holding a press conference in Helena. He tried to explain the necessity of the blackjack games legalization. The conference started by the Senator`s joking that it is a primary issue to find a new source of revenue in order to fund a state program. Furthermore, Jonathan Windy Boy intends to use gambling laws of North Dakota as a basis for the blackjack games legislation.
North Dakota owes more than eight hundred casinos and bars outside the American Indian reservation. The casinos have table games and slots machines which are operated by the state licensed charities. In order to minimize the increase of gambling addiction, the size of bets concerning the table casino games shouldn't exceed $25. Betting limit for a blackjack games is much higher at Indian casinos` reservations because of being exempt from the state laws.
Today Montana allows poker, slot machines, keno and bingo. Previous attempts to make blackjack games as well as some other table games legal were not successful in the last decade.
